As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the hardware circuitry of controls and PCBAs that are embedded within our commercial foodservice appliances. You will drive collaboration with cross-functional teams, leverage technical strategy and best practices, and lead the successful execution of projects. In this role, you will further develop technical subject-matter expertise while contributing significantly to MFT's growth and innovation. This role is subject to our hybrid work model: we collaborate in the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The rest of the week, you have flexibility to work wherever it suits you best.What You'll DoPlan, manage, and execute large core or derivative programs by defining project objectives, creating project plans, and establishing timelines and milestonesLead complex product development programs by driving development and validation of the product or subsystems using standard methodologies like Concept Selection, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, and Design Validation PlansPerform system level design, testing, and validation for beverage/dispensing, cooking, refrigeration, frozen, or other related productsPerform radiated emissions, conducted emissions, and immunity/susceptibility testing using specialized lab equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers).Participate in design process, testing, and reviews for electronic components and sensors across all product lines as a functional leadLead complex 8D issue resolution projects by defining the approach and actionsUtilize mathematical and computer-based engineering analyses to design innovative and reliable solutions for electronic systemsDevelop technical drawings, models, and specifications using engineering software and toolsConduct testing, collect and analyze data, and interpret test results to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of engineering solutionsTroubleshoot technical issues, identify areas for improvement, develop plan and implement design modificationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure project goals are metWho You AreIndependent Self-Starter: Takes prompt, proactive action to accomplish work goals with limited oversightCollaborative Partner: Uses interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. Embody the practice of 'we work for each other.'Strategic Thinker: Relies on analytical and problem-solving skills to think strategically and execute tacticallyClear Communicator: Speaks and writes effectively to convey technical information, project requirements, and progress updates to team members and stakeholdersSkills/Experience We're Looking ForExperience with schematic capture, circuit simulation, PCB layout, prototyping, debugging, verificationProficiency in schematic capture, layout, and other design related tools and applications (e.g., Altium, Cadence, etc.)Experience developing control boards with several of the following electrical components and systems: controls, sensors, touch screens/displays, motors, infotainment, power supplies, wire harness, converters, inverters, gauges, switches, etc.Strong knowledge and understanding of engineering principles, physics, and conceptsExperience with common test equipment (e.g., Oscilloscope, DVM, Logic Analyzer, Protocol Analyzer)Electronic fabrication experience (e.g., soldering fine pitch parts, harness building, prototype fabrication)Excellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in workEffective interpersonal skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly and to non-technical audiencesAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environmentStrong experience in EMI/EMC testing, compliance validation, and troubleshooting to support product certification and regulatory requirements.Hands-on knowledge of FCC, CE, CISPR, and IEC standards, with the ability to develop test plans and drive system-level design improvements for EMC performance.Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering or a related field7-10+ years of relevant experience developing and validating hardware systems and productsBenefitsWe support your well-being with comprehensive and easy-to-use benefits that you'll be eligible to enroll in on your first day of employment.
