Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, PALS preferred Must-Have: 2+ years of experience in adult nursing Experience with pediatric care Description: 225-bed specialty care hospital. Heart and Vascular Institute, Cancer Center, Brain and Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatric Medicine and Weight Management, Women's Health, Pediatrics. Region's premier imaging, surgery, and laboratory services. Located in the central region of Michigan's upper peninsula. Largest community in the peninsula. Home to a university. Unit Information: Number of Beds: 24 Patient Ratios: 1:6 Electronic Health Record: Switching to Cerner on 3/1/24. Patient Population: All ages over 28 days. Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Trauma and post-operative Orthopedic/Neuro cases. General Pediatric Unit (0-3 rooms on average). Personality Fit: Teamwork and collaboration are essential. Required Education: Associate Degree in Nursing. Dress Code: Scrub Color: Galaxy Blue. Refer to the dress code and appearance policy for any unacceptable attire. Float Requirements: Yes, to inpatient units.
