The incumbent in this position provides professional quality management of knowledge-based health care information resources and efficient library services to the hospital administrators, physicians, residents, students and employees. Coordinates the overall activities in the area of access to knowledge-based health care information in the hospital as a member of the information management team. Provides support to the Research Team.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Master's Degree in Library Sciences from an ALA accredited schoolTwo (2) years of experience in medical and health sciences librariesPreferred Qualifications:Membership in the Academy of Health Information ProfessionalsKnowledge of medical terminologyExpert level knowledge of literature searching in OVID, Pubmed, Embase, CINAHL, Clinical Key, Clinical Key for Nursing, Docline, Linkout, Micromedex, Lexicomp, and OCLC.Prior experience teaching medical online resources to residents, nursing and allied health staffOverviewNationally Recognized.
