Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in an ambulatory setting, focusing on chemotherapy administration and post-operative triage. Ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to clinical protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and other oncology treatments following established protocols.
• Triage postoperative and outpatient oncology patients, assessing symptoms and providing appropriate interventions.
• Monitor patient conditions during treatments and respond to any adverse reactions promptly.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and treatments performed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and regulatory standards, including BLS and chemo certification.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of ambulatory oncology RN experience.
• Valid California RN license required at the time of submission.
• BLS certification required; chemo certification preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of chemotherapy agents and protocols.
• Experience working with hepatobiliary and surgical oncology patients preferred.
• Ability to triage and call post-op patients effectively.
