About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Bakery Sanitation – 2nd Shift to join our team at our Aspire Bakeries facility in Ontario, CA. In this role, you will lead, train, and develop sanitation team members while ensuring the bakery operates at the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and audit readiness in an allergen and non-allergen environment.

Hours: 7:00 PM – 3:30 AM

Weekend availability: Required

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $26.00 – $27.00

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)

• Lead, train, and coach sanitation team members to consistently meet Aspire Bakeries' food safety and sanitation standards
• Ensure sanitation practices support allergen and non-allergen food production with a strong "clean is clean" mindset
• Oversee daily sanitation operations, staffing coverage, task assignments, and time management
• Maintain audit-ready conditions at all times, including ATP performance, environmental cleaning, and first-pass quality results
• Monitor facility cleanliness, equipment readiness, and sanitation supply levels to prevent operational interruptions
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and pride of ownership across the sanitation team
• Partner with production, quality, maintenance, and warehouse teams to ensure overall facility cleanliness and readiness

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory or lead role
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation practices, and GMPs
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Bilingual in Spanish
• Previous experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment
• Experience with ATP testing and sanitation validation processes
• Familiarity with audit preparation and environmental cleaning programs
• Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and develop hourly teams
