This individual will play a pivotal role in the development and optimization of new products, leading the way in innovative diagnostic manufacturing solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in leading upstream process development, and will be responsible for driving forward our product development and optimization initiatives. Responsibilities Lead the development and optimization of new and existing products, using your expertise in strain improvement, media optimization, and process scalability. Develop and implement strategies for product optimization, ensuring that they are scalable and feasible for large-scale manufacturing. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing, to ensure that the product optimization strategies align with the company's goals and objectives. Conduct thorough and detailed analyses of the manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary. Utilize your strong technical skills to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the product development and optimization process. Present findings and recommendations to senior management, effectively communicating complex scientific concepts in a clear and concise manner. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in product development and optimization, applying this knowledge to your work. Qualifications Minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Microbiology. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the diagnostic manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on product development and optimization. Proven expertise in strain improvement, media optimization, and process scalability. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex scientific concepts to a non-scientific audience. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. A proactive and innovative approach to work, with a strong desire to drive forward product development and optimization initiatives. A strong understanding of the manufacturing industry and the latest trends and advancements in product development and optimization.
