CDL Truck Driver

Position CDL Truck Driver Location Atlanta, GA Reports To Branch Manager Summary Southway is looking to add experienced full‑time truck drivers to our growing Branch. Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of driving experience, be able to pass a background check and drug test, and complete a skills verification test onsite before hire. Responsibilities Load and unload cargo. Record amount and type of cargo delivered. Take orders for new deliveries and drive long distances. Refuel, clean truck, and wash windows. Report incidents to dispatcher. Monitor road conditions and traffic congestion. Follow all applicable traffic laws. Inspect trailer before and after trips and record any defects. Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs. Keep a log of activities. Report serious mechanical problems to appropriate personnel. Maintain truck and equipment in clean, good working order. Qualifications Current state issued Class A CDL Driver's License (No Automatic Endorsement). Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience. Skills Required Read manuals and write reports in English. Mechanical and analytical skills preferred. Prioritize, organize work, and meet deadlines. Provide proper hand signals to crane and truck operators. Verbal communicate safety issues to customers and coworkers. Work at heights and use full PPE for fall protection correctly. Perform heavy work with correct physiological movements. Ability to bend, stoop, lift, see, hear, walk, lift 75 lbs, twist, crawl, climb, squat, kneel, sit, stand. Eyesight sufficient for vehicle operation, equipment inspection, and paperwork. Hearing sufficient for telephone contact and communication. Other duties as assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr
