RN - Stepdown

Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a stepdown/med-surg overflow unit with a specialization in neurology. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional nursing care to patients in a stepdown/med-surg overflow unit.Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient assessment and care planning.Monitor patients' conditions, administer medications, and implement therapeutic interventions as prescribed.Support and educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.Participate in team nursing with a shared patient ratio of 1:12, alongside LPNs and med nurses.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a Level I Trauma center or large hospital setting.Experience in stepdown or neurology nursing is required.Travel nursing experience is preferred.Current nursing license compliant with NLC guidelines.Schedule and AvailabilityThis position requires availability for day shifts, with options for 36 or 48-hour work weeks. Weekend shifts are expected as part of a rotation.Special RequirementsLevel I Trauma experience is essential.Candidate must be willing to comply with a 100-mile radius rule for travel nursing.All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; approval cannot be guaranteed post-offer.About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse in this dynamic environment, you will play a crucial role in patient recovery and care coordination.
