Assistant Store Manager

Compensation Pay Range: $15.10 - $19.50. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums paid in amounts per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Responsibilities Support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. Manage the store during the Manager’s absence or when working opposing shifts. Lead the store team members in servicing customers and providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including execution of customer service programs such as Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc. Coordinate staffing for the retail sales counter, especially during peak business hours. Assist in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring to ensure goal achievement and current training. Participate in the hiring process: recruiting tasks, scheduling and performing interviews, evaluating candidates, collaborating with management to select qualified team members. Ensure telephone calls are answered according to company policy. Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders, contacting customers as needed. Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently. Process retail customer returns and exchanges accurately and efficiently, issue refunds using correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise properly. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure team members comply with company policies, posted schedules, clocking in/out requirements, and obtain management approval for schedule changes or deviations. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verifying and securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors, arming/disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles. Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. Perform any additional duties as assigned. Required Skills, Education, Experience, and Abilities Sales Specialist Training. Assistant Manager Certification. RSS Certification. Desired Certifications and Qualifications Certified Parts Professional Certification. ASE Certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
