Automotive Technician

Perform automotive repairs including repairing and replacing tires, performing oil changes, bulb replacements, battery repairs, and brake service.

Accomplishes tasks by utilizing both County-issued and required personally owned tools.

Operates equipment and tools independently, efficiently, and in a safe manner.

Assists Automotive Senior Technicians with repairs of complex vehicle systems such as engines, transmissions, HVAC, steering, electrical, body and chassis, exhaust, onboard diagnostic, and glass.

Assists with testing complex electrical systems, emergency equipment, and vehicle diagnostic systems.

Knowledgeable in workplace safety practices and PPE to conform with OSHA requirements.

Works independently or as part of a team.

Uses computers and software applications to record time and material expenses.

Adheres firmly to codes of conduct and ethical principles.

Exercises good judgment when carrying out detailed instructions from a supervisor.

Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am-11:00am (20 hours/week, no nights or weekends)

Hiring Range: $26.44-$30.84

Market Range: 26.44 - 35.23

Emergency Service Worker Statement
