Patient Access Technologist

Adventist Healthcare seeks to hire an experienced Patient Access Technologist for our Rockville Rehab Team who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Patient Access Technologist, you will:

• Facilitate patient enrollment in outpatient programs through accurate capture of patient information (clinical and demographic) via electronic and paper means.
• Answer phones and perform scheduling functions courteously and promptly using customer-centered language.
• Assist the therapy team members with the delivery of hands-on care as directed and instructed.
• Maintain the department cleanliness and supplies through cleaning, organizing, stocking, and ordering materials and supplies.
• Participate in tasks such as faxing, scanning, report generation, and other administrative tasks as requested and instructed.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates will possess:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred Associate degree in health-related field.
• Preferred 1-2 years' experience in a customer-facing role in healthcare.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Work Schedule:

• Employment Type: Part-time (per diem)
• Typical Daily Schedule: Commitment is a minimum of 2 shifts a month
• Shift Type: Day
• Weekend Requirements: Required
• Holiday Requirements: Required
• Compensation: This position is per diem at a rate of $20/hour

Pay Range:

If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
