Details Work in a 20-bed adult Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting Patient ratio of 4:1 Common diagnoses include sepsis, stroke, CHF, and COPD Administers medications such as Cardizem, amiodarone, and heparin RN must read telemetry and titrate select medications Utilizes Epic EMR Night shift schedule from 6:45pm-7:15am Works 3 days per week for 36 hours, including every other weekend Requirements Active RN license (KY or Compact) required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient PCU RN experience required Epic EMR experience required Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required Skilled in IV therapy, CPAP, PCA, peritoneal dialysis, feeding tubes, trach care, and wound vac management Additional Information Provide comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, and evidence-based nursing interventions Deliver patient and family education throughout the care continuum Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient and organizational needs Mentor and precept staff while fostering a strong teamwork environment Benefit from strong Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) support and a collaborative unit culture Participate in quality, safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives Royal Blue scrub color required American Traveler Job ID P-747192.
