Dispensing Nurse

Description Dispensing Nurse – LVN/LPT Tulare, CA | Per-Diem | Non-Exempt Salary Range: $27.69 – $32.10 per hour Position Summary The Dispensing Nurse is responsible for supporting individuals receiving substance use disorder treatment through medication dispensing, nursing services, health assessments, and coordination with multidisciplinary treatment teams. This role helps clients achieve their highest level of functioning while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and clinical standards. Key Responsibilities Dispense NTP medications utilizing the AVATAR dispensing system Complete health assessments, vital signs, TB testing, blood draws, and specimen collection Collaborate with the Medical Director and treatment team Maintain accurate documentation and medication records Process physician orders and communicate with pharmacies Monitor medication inventory and order supplies Participate in audits, reviews, and quality assurance activities Provide nursing coverage and client support as needed Required Qualifications Current LVN or LPT license in the State of California High School Diploma or equivalent Valid California Driver’s License Knowledge of medication administration and nursing procedures Strong communication, clinical assessment, and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in substance use disorder treatment or behavioral health Experience with methadone treatment programs Familiarity with AVATAR dispensing systems Knowledge of DHCS, DEA, and CARF requirements Addiction nursing certifications a plus Benefits Flexible Per-Diem Scheduling Employee Assistance Program Employee Wellness Resources Professional Development Opportunities Mission-Driven Work Environment ADA Statement Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
