Overview

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Outpatient Neuro Rehab

Fairfield, Maine | Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

Join our Rehab Without Walls team and help adults with neurological injuries regain independence and get back to the activities that matter most to them.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in exercise, ambulation, functional activities, and the application/use of assistive devices in accordance with the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist
• Assist Physical Therapist in the collection of outcome measures and completion of complex treatment procedures
• Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by Physical Therapist
• Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided
• Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to the APTA Practice Act and Code of Ethics
• Perform other duties as assigned

Additional Job Information

• Degree from a certified physical therapy assistant training program
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in state of application
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to treatment of complex neurological injuries
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques
• Current CPR certification

Salary Range

USD $31.00 / Hour
