Location: Santa Clara, CA (Hybrid: One day per week onsite)

Salary: depending on experience $180,000-$220,000

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Corporate Controller to join our Finance leadership team. This is an exciting opportuniy for a collaborative accounting leader who is passionate about financial stewardship and operational excellence in support of a meaningful mission.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Controller is a key member of the Finance leadership team responsibe for overseeing all accounting operations across multiple legal entities. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and the implementation of effective internal controls that safeguard organizational assets.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands on, with a proven track record of leading complex accounting functions, developing high-performing teams, and providing financial leadership within a nonprofit, healthcare, or multi-entity organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes across multiple legal enities.
• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements and management reports.
• Oversee all accounting functions, including:General LedgerAccounts Payable, Accounts Recivable, Payroll, FixedAssets, Claims Accounting, Cash Management
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, grant and funding guidelines, and organizational policies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures that protect organizational assets and improve operational efficiency.
• Manage the annual external financial statement audit, Single Audit (as applicable), and funding agency audits.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Partner closely with the CFO and executive leadership on budgeting, financial planning, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation, standardization, and accounting best practices.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations that support organizational growth and executive decision-making.

Qualifications

• Progressive accounting leadership experience managing complex, multi-entity financial operations.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit management.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in nonprofit healthcare, and healthcare services
