Legal Operations and Billing Manager

The Law Offices of Jason C. Tatman, APC is a creditors' rights and default services firm serving lenders, servicers, and credit unions across Arizona, California, Florida, Oregon, Texas, and Washington. Our practice is high volume and deadline driven: auto replevin and impound matters on one side, foreclosure and trustee services on the other. We are hiring a Legal Operations and Billing Manager to own the money side of the practice.

You will run billing for both practice lines, own accounts receivable and accounts payable, keep every file tracked from referral to close, and make sure nothing closes unbilled. You will build the billing calendar and close-file checklist, chase institutional clients for payment, and deliver a monthly report on billed, collected, and outstanding by client. You will work directly with the firm's owner and controller.

What we need:

• 5+ years in law firm billing, legal operations, or default services vendor management
• Hands-on with a law firm billing or practice management system and strong Excel
• Experience collecting receivables from banks, servicers, credit unions, or referral law firms
• Working knowledge of client fee schedules and invoice guidelines; agency allowable schedules (FNMA, FHLMC, HUD/FHA, VA, USDA) a plus
• Experience with client invoice portals such as CounselLink a plus

Salary: $95,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on experience. This is a full-time, in-office position at our San Diego (Kearny Mesa) office.
