As a Medical Billing and Collections Representative, you'll play a key role in resolving patient accounts quickly and respectfully, offering payment solutions and working with insurance companies. We’re looking for someone who’s customer‑focused, assertive, and ready to take on challenges in a fast‑paced environment. Position Summary Manage and resolve overdue medical accounts. Assist patients with payment arrangements and disputes. Re‑bill insurance companies as needed. Maintain accurate account records. Collaborate with billing teams and insurance companies. Perform skip tracing to locate missing payments. Maintain a professional, respectful demeanor with patients and colleagues. Compensation Hourly Rate: $15.00 per hour Bonus Potential: Eligible for up to a $3,500 monthly bonus based on performance. Work Hours Shift Options: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM Position Requirements Manage and resolve overdue medical accounts. Assist patients with payment arrangements and disputes. Qualifications Education: High school diploma / GED Experience: 1–2 years in call center/collections operations in a healthcare field; knowledge of insurance collection verification and follow‑up activities. Additional Requirements Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet goals. Experience with medical billing software is a plus. Previous collections or customer service experience preferred. Ability to handle over 100 calls per day. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
