Position Overview


Manpower is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Quality Technician I for an onsite opportunity in Albuquerque NM.


This position plays an important role in supporting day to day quality functions within a manufacturing environment. The Quality Technician will perform inspections and testing maintain quality documentation review production and batch records identify nonconforming materials and partner with production and other departments to ensure products meet established quality specifications.

The ideal candidate takes initiative communicates effectively is comfortable working in a fast paced environment and has strong computer and organizational skills. The client is looking for someone who can take ownership of quality related responsibilities and work independently while collaborating with multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities


• Perform daily quality inspections of finished goods and intermediate materials to ensure established specifications are met
• Perform testing and inspections using calibrated measuring equipment including scales calipers rulers and IR balances
• Review and maintain batch files production paperwork and quality documentation
• Record temperatures testing results inspection findings and other quality data
• Perform quality related transactions in SAP including material releases and blocking or unblocking materials
• Sample incoming raw materials and coordinate materials requiring additional testing
• Inspect and manage incoming materials and help identify materials that do not meet specifications
• Communicate with production shipping customer service and other departments regarding quality issues
• Manage and document nonconforming materials and prepare nonconformance reports as required
• Support inspection and calibration activities to ensure equipment and processes remain within requirements
• Manage retain samples documentation and appropriate sample storage
• Support inventory and material release activities
• Assist with material recalls and product rescreening when required
• Maintain daily quality reports batch files databases and other documentation
• Assist with relabeling or repacking finished products when necessary
• Perform additional testing or studies as required
• Assist with investigations involving customer complaints and nonconformances
• Support updates to quality documents procedures work instructions and SOPs
• Assist with quality training for production operators and other Quality Technicians
• Review products and materials for defects
• Support changeovers from a quality perspective
• Maintain a clean organized laboratory workstation and equipment
• Follow all company safety procedures and report or address safety concerns
• Support additional operational and quality functions based on business needs

Qualifications


• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be fluent in English
• 1+ year of previous quality experience preferred
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook Excel Word and PowerPoint
• SAP experience preferred
• Strong mathematical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document findings
• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects or priorities
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Comfortable working in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with multiple departments and levels of the organization


The client specifically identifies a high school diploma or GED English fluency prior quality experience preferred strong Microsoft Office skills and SAP experience preferred.
