About This Role The Head Nurse for Endoscopy at NYC Health and Hospitals oversees the nursing regimen for patients within the unit, ensuring effective care and support. This role is ideal for experienced nursing professionals who excel in leadership and patient care coordination. Highlights Pay: $116,159/year Location: New York, NY Facility: Harlem Hospital Center Department/Unit: ENDOSCOPY Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift What You'll Do Direct the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing regimens for patients. Identify and discriminate between physical and psycho-social signs and symptoms. Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate nursing regimens for assigned patients. Record and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes to ensure continuity of care. Interpret and report patient responses to appropriate health team members. Participate with interdisciplinary health team members to plan comprehensive patient care. Assign components of the nursing regimen to allied nursing personnel. Provide teaching, guidance, and direction to allied nursing personnel. Participate in defining and maintaining standards of nursing practice. Conduct conferences to develop nursing care plans and promote staff development. Requirements Experience Experience as a Head Nurse preferred. Licenses & Certifications Valid New York State RN License required. Additional Compensation Annual education differential for degrees in nursing or allied health disciplines. Annual certification differential for nationally recognized certifications. Annual nursing experience differential for up to 10 years of experience.
