Our organization is seeking a Director of Social Work (DSW) to join our team in Cooperstown, NY.

• Oversee, develop, and implement the overall policies and objectives for the Social Services Department.

• Conduct assessments, create care plans, and assist residents in their adjustment process.

• Supervise the staff within the department.

• Initiate discharge planning at the time of admission.

• Participate in community outreach activities as needed.

• Possess familiarity with a range of concepts, practices, and procedures relevant to the field.

• Exhibit a significant degree of creativity and independence in decision-making.

• Utilize extensive experience and sound judgment to achieve departmental goals.

• A minimum of 2 years of management experience in long-term care settings.

• Must hold a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Master of Social Work (MSW) degree.

• Familiarity with relevant state and federal regulations is essential.

• Outstanding interpersonal and leadership abilities are required.
