Our organization is seeking a Director of Social Work (DSW) to join our team in Cooperstown, NY.
DUTIES:
Oversee, develop, and implement the overall policies and objectives for the Social Services Department.
Conduct assessments, create care plans, and assist residents in their adjustment process.
Supervise the staff within the department.
Initiate discharge planning at the time of admission.
Participate in community outreach activities as needed.
Possess familiarity with a range of concepts, practices, and procedures relevant to the field.
Exhibit a significant degree of creativity and independence in decision-making.
Utilize extensive experience and sound judgment to achieve departmental goals.
A minimum of 2 years of management experience in long-term care settings.
Must hold a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Master of Social Work (MSW) degree.
Familiarity with relevant state and federal regulations is essential.
Outstanding interpersonal and leadership abilities are required.
