Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care UnitAmerican TravelerSeattle, Washington, United StatesPosition status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1Start date: 2026-11-16$2,009.37/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring 2+ years of telemetry experience and Epic EMR proficiency.DetailsNight shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30Cardiac PCU setting treating myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, pre/post open-heart and vascular surgery, heart failure, and stroke patients with cardiac involvementPatient ratio is 1:4, with possible 1:5 at midnightFloating required to like units within the facility and sister facilitiesEvery other weekend requiredUses Epic EMRPerforms breathing treatments, chest tube setup/care, CPAP/BiPAP, trach care, sternal precautions, cardioversion/defibrillation, epicardial pacer management, and telemetry/dysrhythmia interpretationCares for patients with LVAD and post-open heart surgery (24-28 hours post-op)RequirementsActive WA or compact RN license required at time of submissionCurrent BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications requiredMinimum 2 years of telemetry/surgical tele experience requiredExperience with open heart surgery and vascular (groin/radial band) management requiredIV skills requiredPrior travel nursing experience requiredEpic EMR experience requiredVAD and TAVR experience preferredTeaching and community hospital experience preferredAdditional InformationFirst-time travelers will not be considered for this positionFormer permanent staff at this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radiusPermanent staff from other Providence facilities (non-Swedish) are eligible for a travel contract after a 3-month separationMust reside within 50 miles of the facility for local candidate considerationLocal candidates accepted at a lower bill rateMust commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are requiredCandidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including dates and locations
