We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our casual dining sushi bar team. This role involves preparing sushi dishes with precision and artistry, ensuring high-quality presentation and adherence to sanitation standards while collaborating within a small team of 1-3 members. The Sushi Chef will follow our established menu and maintain consistent food quality and safety without menu development or travel requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sushi dishes including nigiri and sashimi with precision
- Demonstrate strong knife skills for cutting and presentation
- Ensure appealing and consistent food presentation
- Maintain quality control throughout food preparation
- Adhere strictly to sanitation and food safety compliance
- Collaborate effectively with a small team
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in culinary arts
- Proficient in sushi rolling techniques and knife handling
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Strong attention to detail
