Responsibilities Organize, install, and support the organization’s computer systems, LANs, WANs, network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems. Architect, design, and analyze network models; participate in decisions about future hardware or software upgrades. Provide technical support to computer users and help solve users’ problems. Support activities within Special Access Programs (SAPs) for Department of Defense agencies, including day‑to‑day support for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities. Lead the IT operations team in managing day‑to‑day network operations; maintain JSIG/RMF Authority to Operate and Continuous Monitoring tools and processes. Manage COTS and GOTS products to collect, display, and remediate automated system security and performance metrics. Assist during security assessments of servers, network devices, and security appliances; provide O&M checklists and develop TTPs and SOPs. Operate monitoring tools (SIEM) and create/ tailor complex event alarms, rules, and summary reports. Execute cybersecurity operations procedures for network management, operations, and maintenance. Monitor and analyze output of cybersecurity tools for reportable security incidents and residual risk. Assist in analyzing technical risk of emerging cybersecurity tools and processes. Participate as a member of the security incident response team as needed. Assist ISSM/ISSO/ISSE with integration and development of new techniques. Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability for networks/systems at various classification levels. Demonstrate advanced competency in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, RedHEnterprise Linux, Hyper‑V/VMWare/ESx/Xen hypervisors, enterprise networking/firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, forensic analysis, vulnerability assessment, group policy, scripting, BMC Footprints, WSUS, Lumension, Bitlocker, SQL Server, TomCat, IIS, Windows Server 2012r2/2016, Win10, RedH6.5, Microsoft Office Toolkits, SEIMs, LogRhythm, ACAS/Nessus/SCAP, role‑based access controls, VOIP, Oracle/MSSQL, and web server security. Qualifications Minimum 5+ years related experience; 2+ years SAP experience required. Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in a related field plus 2 years of experience, or an equivalent of 4 years experience. Certifications: IAT LevelIII (e.g., CISSP, CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, etc.) preferred. TS/SCI clearance required; must be able to attain TS/SCI with CI Polygraph. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft Exchange Server, and RHEL administration. Experience with Group Policy design, Cisco network and switching, virtualization technologies, LAN and WAN technologies, data backup, COMSEC policies, risk management framework, system security policy, PL2/PL3/PL4 network environments, WSUS/YUM patch deployment, and DoD policies.
