About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required License: Pending License accepted Certifications: BCLS required Must-Have: Experience in Med-Surg, Telemetry, IV insulin protocols, Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management Description: Position involves working in a medical-surgical setting with specific focus on gastrointestinal, urology, and gynecological systems. Patient ratios are 1:4 during the day and 1:6 during the night. Candidates should be open to floating as needed. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Experience with remote monitoring and use of rapid response teams is needed. Preferred experience includes managing post-cardiac surgery, post-myocardial infarction cases, and pre/post-hemodialysis management. Candidates will be responsible for caring for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including those requiring colostomy and ileostomy management. Special procedures include colon resections, urological procedures, and gynecological surgeries. Interdisciplinary support will include collaboration with various teams. Experience with charting systems is required. Candidates must be willing to provide required documentation and meet compliance requirements. Clearance to start is dependent upon background checks and other compliance measures.
