Night Registration/Patient Care Technician

Harlan County Health System is seeking a dependable and compassionate Night Registration/Patient Care Technician to join our team in Alma, Nebraska.

This position supports nighttime patient care operations by completing patient registration and assisting nursing staff with basic patient care in the Emergency Room and inpatient setting.

Position Details:

• Full-time
• Night shift: 6:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Eligible for Shift differential
• Includes rotation of weekends and holidays
• Provides both registration and patient care support

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and register patients accurately and professionally
• Collect and verify demographic and insurance information
• Answer phone calls and assist with communication between departments
• Support nursing staff with basic patient care, admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Accurately document patient information and care activities
• Follow safety and infection-control procedures

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• BLS certification upon hire or within 90 days
• PCT training or previous healthcare experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and computer skills
• A professional, patient-centered approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
