Check out the Pregis Purpose to learn how sustainability and social responsibility is at the very core of our company DNA.Summary of JobThe Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and leading maintenance technicians in the inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance of facilities, machinery, and equipment. This role ensures compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies while maintaining efficient plant or facility operations. Experience with converting, printing, and extruding equipment and various other ancillary equipment, as well as general repairs to building and grounds. Emphasis on good analytical skills and ability to source other/outside resources to resolve issues, troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic and mechanical problems; repairing and replacing faulty components or parts, installing new machines and equipment, maintaining parts and supplies inventories. This position will be responsible to support the plant by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and modifying mechanical, pneumatic and electrical equipment. Including PLC, DCS and multiple systems.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities.Assign work orders and monitor task completion.Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.Troubleshoot equipment failures and coordinate repairs.Ensure machinery, systems, and facilities operate efficiently and safely.Manage maintenance schedules to minimize operational disruptions.Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance technicians.Maintain maintenance records, reports, and documentation.Monitor inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.Coordinate with production, operations, and external contractors.Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.Assist in budgeting and controlling maintenance costs.Identify opportunities for process improvement and equipment upgrades.Manage apprenticeship program, intern duties and development.Competency (Knowledge, skills, and abilities)Ability to take coaching well and communicates respectfully with othersPromote positive teamwork cultureAbility to effectively and respectfully communicate with team and during shift transitionKnowledgeable of safety requirements and guidelines in manufacturing/warehouse environmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement cultureAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceUse Office software and enter work orders in our CMMS softwareAbility to solve practical problems and deal with variety of concrete variables in situation where limited standardization existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formEnvironmentExposure to moving equipmentInside workHeat may exceed 90 degrees FahrenheitHumidity may exceed 80%Noise may exceed 85dB+Personal Protective Equipment requiredFumes or airborne particlesToxic or caustic chemicals, work in high, precarious placesPhysical CharacteristicsStanding, walking, climbing and balancing.
