3rd Shift Forklift Operator (Cherry Picker & High-Reach Lift)

Job Description: Are you a skilled equipment operator who thrives on the night shift and isn't afraid of a view from the top? We are looking for experienced High-Reach Forklift & Cherry Picker Operators to join our night operations team. In a furniture distribution center, accuracy and safety are everything. Our inventory is large, heavy, and stored high up, meaning we need operators with precision control and strong spatial awareness. Key Responsibilities High-Elevation Maneuvering: Safely operate stand-up cherry pickers (order pickers) and high-reach forklifts to store and retrieve furniture items from high-bay racking systems. Heavy-Duty Order Picking: Locate, pick, and stage large, bulky furniture pieces (e.g., sofas, mattresses, case goods) efficiently using warehouse management systems (WMS) or RF scanners. Inbound & Outbound Logistics: Put away incoming inventory into designated high-reach slots and pull scheduled items for morning deliveries, ensuring zero damage to the product. Safety & Maintenance: Perform mandatory pre-shift equipment inspections, report mechanical issues immediately, and maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety guidelines. Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with the night shift loading and staging crews to keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and ready for morning operations. What We Are Looking For (Job Requirements) Proven Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verified experience operating stand-up cherry pickers and high-reach lifts (experience in a furniture or large-format goods warehouse is a major plus). Comfort at Heights: Must be completely comfortable working on elevated platforms up to [Insert height, e.g., 30-40 feet] while properly using safety harnesses and fall-protection gear. Physical Strength: Ability to confidently handle heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling of bulky furniture items (up to [Insert weight, e.g., 75+ lbs] safely, often in tandem with a team member). Night Shift Reliability: A solid track record of punctuality and dependability on overnight schedules. Safety First Mindset: A sharp focus on keeping yourself and your teammates safe in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Successful performance on a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Test. Dress code Shirts or t-shirts must have sleeves and be without any holes or rips. Pants without any holes or rips. No profane or suggestive texts and images. Closed toe and non slip footwear only.
