Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of pre-litigation personal injury matters under attorney supervision
- Conduct client intake interviews and case evaluations
- Develop case strategies and provide legal guidance to clients
- Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, and third parties
- Assist senior attorneys with litigation matters
- Attend court hearings, conferences, mediations, and other legal proceedings as assigned
- Draft legal documents, correspondence, and case-related materials
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with deadlines
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to support overall case management and firm objectives
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- 2-5 years of experience handling personal injury matters, preferably pre-litigation cases
- Licensed to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, or eligible for prompt admission in both jurisdictions
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong legal drafting and courtroom presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Professional judgment, integrity, and commitment to ethical legal practice
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Prior experience handling personal injury matters is preferred but not required
- Demonstrated interest in personal injury, civil litigation, or related practice areas
- Strong commitment to professional development and client service
