Strong math skills, good written and oral communication skills, knowledge of the XL products, strong prioritization and organizational skills, attention to detail, risk analysis and critical thinking/reasoning, troubleshooting/problem-solving, interpersonal skills/team player, and ability to handle stress are essential. Experience working with various types of material is a requirement as the foresight of how the different materials react to machining affects the outcome of the part extensively. Provide input for new gage/fixture designs relative to GD&T and CMM measurement accessibility. Working in a team atmosphere to encompass a smooth flow across all operations. Primary Skills and Responsibilities The CMM Programmer portion of the roleis responsible for creating, testing and maintaining inspection programs that operate and control CMM machines in accordance with production standards. Strong understanding of CNC programming, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and quality inspection processes. CMM Operation/and program (Manual and DCC machines, CMM Manager software). Participate in APQP process as needed in gage and fixture design, develop quick change process for CMMs. Quality inspection checks 1st piece, hourly, final, last piece, backward recall on non-conforming product and implementing non-conforming product hold tags. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Support day-to-day quality and production deliverables and initiatives. Lead teams to support continuous improvement efforts in Bldg 1 and 2 (5S, internal audits, organizational knowledge) Document testing and root cause analysis for internal or external problems. Create Work instructions provide feedback and review Manufacturing issues that emerge through the work and assembly process with QM/ME on the solutions to address the issue. Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Follow quality standards to ensure parts are to the customer and company standards.
