Job Summary

BILLY Footwear is opening its first retail store, and we’re looking for a Store Manager to help bring an important next chapter of our story to life. Born from a desire to make footwear easier to put on and wear independently, BILLY has grown into a brand rooted in Universal Design—creating shoes that bring fashion, function, and accessibility together without compromise. As the leader of our first store, you’ll build a passionate team, create meaningful connections with our customers and community, achieve sales goals, and help shape what the BILLY retail experience can become.

Essential Functions

Lead + Develop

\n

• Lead by example and build a positive, collaborative store culture rooted in trust, accountability, and BILLY’s values.

• Recruit, train, coach, and develop a knowledgeable and confident team that is passionate about the people and purpose behind our brand.
\n
• Set clear expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and create an environment where employees feel supported and empowered to grow.
\n

Create the BILLY Experience

• Bring BILLY’s mission to life by creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where every customer feels seen, heard, and supported.
\n
• Lead and support events, activations, and community experiences at Sea Otter Landing that bring people together and deepen their connection to BILLY.
\n

\n

Own the Store

\n

\n
• Drive sales through exceptional customer service, authentic selling, and team coaching through product knowledge and business acumen.
\n
• Oversee day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, scheduling and floor coverage, POS operations, inventory, receiving, merchandising, and overall store standards.
\n
• Maintain strong operational and financial practices, including transaction reconciliation, sales reporting, inventory controls, loss prevention, and an understanding of store performance.

• Bring an entrepreneurial mindset to BILLY’s first retail store, remaining calm, adaptable, and solutions oriented as new opportunities and challenges arise.

• Listen closely to customers and employees and share meaningful feedback, trends, and opportunities with BILLY leadership.
\n
• Help establish the standards, processes, and culture that will define the BILLY retail experience and support its continued growth.
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• 2+ years of retail experience; leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
\n
• Proven track record of exceeding sales goals
\n
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
\n
• Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
\n
• Experience with POS systems, retail reporting, and an understanding of sales performance and store operations.
\n
• Passion for BILLY Footwear's mission and values.
\n

\n

Equivalent combinations of education and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the role will be considered.

\n

Compensation + Work Location

\n

Pay Range: $65,000-70,000

\n

Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and other applicable factors.

\n
