Trading Assistant
Mission Staffing
This is a critical role sitting at the intersection of portfolio management, trading, research, treasury, middle office, and compliance — with deep exposure to the full credit investment lifecycle across performing loans, distressed debt, special situations, and structured credit.
- 3+ years of experience within an investment group, middle office, or investment operations role at an asset manager, bank, CLO manager, or similar credit-focused platform
- Direct experience supporting portfolio managers or traders in a credit context; familiarity with the full trade lifecycle from origination through portfolio monitoring
- Strong understanding of credit instruments including bonds, term loans, revolving credit facilities, delayed draw facilities, mezzanine, preferred, and structured credit products
- Solid grasp of credit fundamentals including spread analysis, yield to maturity, OID, PIK mechanics, leverage and coverage metrics, and covenant structures
