Database Administrator

Our client, is seeking a Database Administrator to join their team. As a Database Administrator, you will be part of the IT Department supporting the Data Management team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Database Administrator (Level 1 - Mid level)

Location: Warren, MI

What's the Job?

• Provide on-site database and system support across various hardware and software platforms
• Monitor system performance, collect statistical data, and generate reports to optimize capacity and efficiency
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software, operating system, and database issues
• Plan and execute software installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching activities
• Manage system and database backups, and perform manual failover procedures when necessary

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field (preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in database administration and support
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database performance monitoring
• Understanding of help desk tools and trouble ticket processes
• Experience with Team Center NX, and Siemens related suite of tools
