Seven Healthcare are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment where you will play a crucial role in the delivery of radiologic services. The role requires the ability to respond within 30 minutes to on-call shifts, providing vital support to medical teams in a variety of settings. Key Responsibilities of the X-Ray Technologist

• Verifying patients' identity and reviewing physicians' orders before beginning x-ray procedures.
• Using x-ray equipment to take images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians' written orders.
• Explaining x-ray procedures to patients and answering their questions.
• Positioning patients accordingly, which may include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility.
• Handling radiologic equipment safely and properly, keeping dose to patient as low as possible.
• Observing each patient's status and interpreting the appropriate information needed to meet his or her age-specific needs.
• Producing diagnostic, high-quality images for interpretation by the Radiologist.
• Promptly notifying management of damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment.
• Utilizing electronic patient information systems to verify patient information and practicing the Dual patient identifier procedure.
• Maintaining accurate patient record keeping by properly identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly.

Requirements of the X-Ray Technologist

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• NYS license (or able to obtain license prior to starting).
• 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience.
• Level 1 trauma center experience.
• Ability to move or lift patients.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• A patient and compassionate disposition.
• Team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
• Experience using c-arm/o-arm in the past 8 months.
• Must have recent OR experience.
