Senior Accountant

Location: Moscow, ID
Pay: $64,000 to $90,000 (DOE)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

We are hiring a detail-oriented and professional Senior Accountant to join a respected firm specializing in natural resource consulting, geospatial intelligence, and environmental management. This role is ideal for someone with strong multi-state payroll experience and GAAP knowledge who enjoys working in a collaborative, corporate environment supporting financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll accurately and on time
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries, reconciliations, and documentation
- Support payroll compliance, audits, and reporting requirements
- Assist with month-end close activities in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Provide backup support for accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Review and troubleshoot work completed by accounting staff
- Assist with intercompany transactions and cross-functional accounting tasks
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements
- Support ERP system use, administration, and testing of financial processes

Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred
- Knowledge of project-based billing or payroll systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
