Full-Time Budtender

Position: Full-Time Budtender Pay: $17.00/hour + tips 8-Hour Shifts | Weekends & Holidays Required

Hiring Timeline: We anticipate filling this position in mid-August 2026 as we prepare for the next phase of our Somerville transition. We encourage interested candidates to apply early, as interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.

About the Role

At Embr Dispensary, our Budtenders are more than retail associatesthey are cannabis educators and brand ambassadors. As the face of our dispensary, you'll create a welcoming environment while helping customers confidently navigate our carefully curated selection of premium cannabis products.

What You'll Do

• Provide exceptional customer service in a welcoming, professional, and inclusive environment.
• Educate customers on cannabis products, consumption methods, potency, effects, and responsible use.
• Make personalized product recommendations based on customer needs and preferences.
• Process transactions accurately while following cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) procedures.
• Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with all Massachusetts cannabis regulations.
• Assist with inventory replenishment, merchandising, and maintaining an organized sales floor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting retail environment.
• Stay current on new products, industry trends, and product knowledge through ongoing training.
• Support team members and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace.
• Adhere to all company policies, security procedures, and state and local cannabis regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Massachusetts Driver's License or Massachusetts State ID required.
• Ability to pass a CORI background check.
• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• Previous cannabis retail, dispensary, or retail sales experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable handling cash and operating POS systems.
• Passion for cannabis and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are encouraged to apply.
