Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to emergency room patients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient services. Acts as a patient advocate while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet patient needs and facilitate positive outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions promptly and accurately, synthesizing assessment data to determine appropriate care plans.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment interventions based on patient assessments and clinical standards.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families to ensure coordinated care and smooth discharge planning.
• Supervise and delegate duties to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to policies and optimal patient care.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in EPIC and other relevant systems.
• Promote a safe, healing environment by employing evidence-based practices and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current registered nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Possess a minimum of two years of recent emergency room nursing experience.
• Maintain current BLS certification and demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic health records.
• Have additional certifications: AHA-ACLS, ARC-ALS, and PALS or ARC-PALS.
• Show strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
