Job title: Family Services Assistant

Starting Pay rate : $18.55 per hour

Possible Start date : 3-4 weeks

Hours/Shift : Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job description :

Assist and instruct clients in daily maintenance and use of community resources; reinforce and support clients in attaining treatment goals as set up by client and Family Services Specialist; takes active role in instructing parents in child growth and development as part of the service plans; monitors cases and assists in parenting or support groups; transport children within the City and when necessary throughout the country; and support and assist Family Services Specialist in delivering and implementing treatment plans with clients.

Requirements :

· Requires any combination of education (above the high school level) and/or experience equivalent to four (4) years in a human services field (social work, guidance and counseling, family and child development, psychology or sociology) utilizing the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

· Must have or obtain, a valid Virginia or North Carolina driver’s license in accordance with Virginia or North Carolina DMV driver’s license eligibility requirements.
