Position: W2 Contract

Job Summary The Collateral Valuation Services is currently in a critical phase of delivering the Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis solution to the Commercial Valuation Services (CVS) line of business through the onboarding of the Argus cloud migration for the external vendor application. In parallel, VSIMS must also address non‐permitted technology remediation, which requires upgrades to RHEL, WebLogic, and JDK. Both initiatives involve complex coordination with Technology Infrastructure (TI) partners and external vendors. Given the concurrent delivery demands and associated dependencies, maintaining adequate bench strength for the VSIMS co‐located team is critical to meeting delivery commitments and mitigating operational risk.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and take ownership of feature delivery while ensuring high-quality outcomes. Adhere to enterprise standards for solution design, coding, and quality assurance. Ensure solutions meet product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt. Oversee compliance and security requirements, including audit support at the team level. Act as a liaison for production activities and effectively resolve issues. Collaborate with the Product Owner to maintain a well-defined product backlog with clear acceptance criteria. Guide the team in work breakdown and efficient task execution to meet delivery timelines. Serve as a team lead (individual contributor) and mentor team members to enhance their skills and practices. Provide expertise in planning, estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering best practices. Identify skill and role gaps within the team and collaborate with the Technology Manager to address them. Support the Technology Manager in developing resource contingency plans as needed.

Required Skills

Java Development: 7+ years of experience with Core Java, J2EE, Spring 5, Hibernate, and Spring MVC/Batch. Version Control: Proficiency with GIT/Bitbucket or Subversion. Server and Environment Management: Experience working with WebLogic Server, performance tuning, ETL processes, and both Windows and Linux environments. RDBMS Expertise: Strong querying and PL/SQL skills across multiple database platforms, including Oracle and SQL Server. Programming Skills: Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles. Frontend Development: Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, and frameworks such as React, Angular 17 or above, and Node.js. Reporting Tools: Experience with MicroStrategy and Tableau for reporting and data visualization. CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and Artifactory. Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile development environments. Test Automation: Proficiency with Selenium and Cucumber. Containerization and Orchestration: Knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies. Web Services: Experience with AWS, REST APIs, and GraphQL. Database Platforms: Familiarity with Oracle Exadata and MS SQL Server. Operating Systems: Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments. Microservices Architecture: Understanding and experience with microservices-based development.
