Base pay range $85,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Connect Search, LLC Recruiting Professional and Industry Leader Our client, a prominent Chicago financial firm is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst. This role will play a critical role in the preparation, analysis, and submission of external financial reports, including 10-K and 10-Q filings, in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including fund accounting, audit, and FP&A, to ensure accurate and timely financial disclosures. The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage reporting processes in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and related disclosures) in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements. Assist in drafting financial statement footnotes, MD&A, and supporting schedules. Partner with fund accounting teams to reconcile financial data and ensure accuracy of investment-related reporting. Monitor and implement new accounting standards (ASC updates) relevant to fund and investment accounting. Support internal and external audit processes by preparing schedules, responding to requests, and ensuring proper documentation. Develop and maintain internal reporting controls to comply with SOX and internal policies. Collaborate with FP&A and business units to provide financial data and analysis for reporting requirements. Perform technical accounting research on complex transactions and provide recommendations to management. Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of reporting systems. Ensure consistency, completeness, and accuracy of all financial disclosures and related analyses.
