AV Technician

Role Overview Not a Scam delivery is seeking an AV Technician (mid-level) for a full-time, onsite position in Kansas City at $23/hour. This role exists to ensure audio-visual systems are installed, run smoothly, and are kept in reliable working condition for events and presentations. Key responsibilities Set up, connect, and operate AV gear (sound systems, projectors, microphones, displays) Verify performance through checks, testing, and basic calibration before and during events Provide onsite technical support and troubleshoot issues quickly when problems arise Perform routine maintenance, coordinate repairs, and help track inventory/configurations Work with event organizers and other technicians to confirm requirements and execution Required qualifications/skills Prior experience as an audio-visual technician (or similar) Strong knowledge of AV equipment and signal flow; comfort with soundboards/video switching Solid troubleshooting skills, organization, and clear communication Flexibility for evenings/weekends as needed; Associate’s degree preferred (certs a plus) Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage 401(k) Life Insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) Competitive Salary Paid Time Off (PTO) Unlimited Paid Time Off A Typical Day You’ll arrive onsite, review the day’s run-of-show, and do a quick walk-through to confirm the room layout and what’s expected. Before things start, you’ll run checks—audio levels, video signal, mic batteries, and backup options—so everything is ready when the audience walks in. During the event, you’ll stay attentive, making small adjustments and responding fast if something changes. Between sessions, you’ll reset spaces, update notes on what worked, and prep for the next setup.
