Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Location: South Carolina

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day Shift: 4x10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Description: The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) will provide direct patient care in the surgical setting, maintaining a high standard of nursing practice while adhering to the policies and procedures of the facility. This role requires a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Administer medications and monitor patients preoperatively and postoperatively.
• Assist the surgical team with procedures as required.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record (Epic).
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols, especially during times of emergency.
• Participate in on-call duties, including one day per week and one weekend per month.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience is required.
• Current South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred.
• Radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency.
