2nd Shift General Laborer – Lumber Production

We are seeking hardworking, reliable individuals to join our 2nd shift team as General Laborers . This is an entry-level opportunity to work in a fast-paced production environment supporting the manufacturing of wall panels, trusses, and other lumber products.

In this role, you will assist in moving materials through various stages of production, ensuring efficiency and quality while working as part of a team.

• Pull lumber and materials from the yard and bring them into production areas
• Replenish production lines with materials
• Stack finished lumber products after cutting
• Assist in building forms and assembling wall, roof, or floor trusses
• Help move products through wall panel or truss production lines
• Use hand tools and tape measures to assemble products
• Read and follow blueprints
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform repetitive tasks, often repeating the same build 10+ times before switching

• Lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
• Lift 30–40 lbs consistently
• Frequently bend, stoop, squat, and reach at various angles
• Climb on and off work tables throughout the shift

• Ability to lift required weights safely
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure (ProveIt or ruler test required)
• Comfortable performing repetitive work daily
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

• Previous construction or general labor experience
• Strong tape measure skills (accuracy down to 1/32”)
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Experience in roofing, landscaping, warehouse, or production work

New hires will be assigned to a specific workstation based on production needs. Cross-training opportunities are available over time for dependable employees who demonstrate strong performance and attendance.

• Demonstrate ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, NE.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
