Our Utica NY branch is currently looking for Personal Care Aides to work in Utica, New Hartford, Clinton, Rome, and surrounding areas. Not a certified PCA? No problem – we’re now enrolling qualified applicants in our Free Personal Care Aide training class, details below!

PCA Training Class – FreeDates:6/17, 6/19, 6/22, 6/24, 6/26, 6/29, 7/1. 8am -4:30pm

Attendance on all scheduled days is required. Only 3 spots left so get your info in now!!

The class is a total of 56 hours.

Location: CareGivers Home Care, 48 Genesee Street, New Hartford, NY 13413

• Reliable transportation is required

• Tuition for the class is free, you will not be paid for attending the class

• If you successfully complete the course, you will be a New York state certified Personal Care Aide

Attendance on each day of the training class is required. Those who complete the class with a passing grade, meet all health requirements, and successfully complete the hiring process will receive an offer for employment. We do not provide free training for the general public, if you take this class you are signifying that you intend to work for us if we offer you employment. If you are hired, you will need to provide the follow information – the faster you provide this information, the faster we can get you to work:

• Proof of immunizations required

• Recent/current physical required

• Minimum of 2 references required

PERSONAL CARE AIDE JOB DUTIES:

Your day might include: providing a safe way for clients to feel clean and refreshed (personal care); learning some new recipes and preparing meals; tidying their home to keep them healthy and being sure they follow their medication schedule. Other care may be needed to keep them safe. Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license are required for most positions because shopping and running errands for clients is part of the job.
