We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and dedicated K–12 Special Education Teacher to join our educational team in Enosburg Falls, Vermont. Position Summary
The K–12 Special Education Teacher provides specialized instruction and case management services for students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Responsibilities include planning and delivering instruction, monitoring student progress, collaborating with educators and service providers, and ensuring compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Deliver differentiated instruction to students with a variety of learning, behavioral, and developmental needs.
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student achievement.
Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress toward IEP goals.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with IDEA and Vermont special education regulations.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
Valid Vermont Educator License with a Special Education endorsement or eligibility to obtain Vermont licensure before the start of employment.
Knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and evidence-based instructional practices.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with students across K–12 grade levels.
Experience with inclusive classroom settings, behavior intervention planning, and assistive technology.
Familiarity with progress monitoring and data-driven instructional decision-making.

Special Education Endorsement appropriate for the assigned grade levels
