Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Nights, 12-hour shifts with a 36-hour guarantee. Every other weekend and holiday required. Job Description The Registered Nurse provides direct care to patients utilizing the nursing process, which includes assessing the total patient, executing interventions to treat presenting symptoms, and evaluating the effectiveness of nursing interventions. The RN serves as a team leader/member and resource to colleagues while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to establish patient-centered goals and outcomes. The RN is dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of all patient types. Responsibilities Conduct regular assessments of patients' needs, providing skilled nursing services as per the physician authorized plan of care and evidence-based nursing standards. Deliver direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, patient education, and responding to alarms. Evaluate treatment plans and collaborate with team members to update and improve patient care strategies. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and hospital policies regarding patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience required. Pediatric experience required. Epic experience highly preferred. Active Michigan RN License required. Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
