Locums - Richmond, VA Maternal and Fetal Medicine

Clinical Role: Maternal and Fetal Medicine (MFM) Referral Bonus: Generous referral fees available

Availability

Open Dates:

June 29 - July 2
Sept 21 - 22

Coverage:

Rotation between two clinic sites (30 minutes apart)
Phone-only consults may occasionally be required at one site
Office & inpatient coverage
Average scheduled patients per day: 27

Team & Support

Number of physicians: 1 per site (2-provider service)
APPs: 1 NP rotating sites
Support staff: RN clinic educator, sonographer, genetic counselor, front office team
Exam rooms: 3
Onsite lab: No
Onsite ultrasound: Yes (GE 10)

Practice Profile

Low risk pregnancies: 5%
High risk pregnancies: 95%
Nursery level: III
EMR: EPIC, Viewpoint

Procedures & Skill Sets

Amniocentesis
Chorionic Villus Sampling
Cerclage (preferred)
Management of: Pre-Eclampsia, Multiple Pregnancy, Growth Restriction, Chromosomal & Congenital Abnormalities, Pre-term Labor, Hypertension, Thrombophilia, Genetic Disorders, Birth Defects
Vaginal and Cesarean Birth
Care of any fetal or maternal high-risk comorbidities

Licenses & Certifications

Board Certified/Eligible: MFM (Required)
Fellowship: Required
State Medical License: Required
BLS Certification: Required
AIUM Certification: Preferred
