Phlebotomist

Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Enter patient data accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Complete other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program; or three months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications One year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards A phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency may satisfy the experience requirement. Must be able to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Travel to additional site as needed; reliable transportation required. Compensation and Incentives Pay Range: $17.75 – $26.00 per hour. PSTs may be eligible for the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
