Job DescriptionJob title: Tax Manager \nLocation: 2950 Fawn Lake Dr, Medina, OH 44256\nDuration: Full-time role\nSkills: Tax Accounting & Compliance, Federal & State Tax Laws, General Accounting Principles, FASB & Internal Revenue Code (IRC), Tax Planning & Preparation, Tax Research & Analysis, Financial Reporting, Tax Regulations & Compliance, Team Management & Supervision, Mentoring & Staff Development, CPA/EA Knowledge, Microsoft Office Suite, Tax & Accounting Software, Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills, Complex Tax Concept Communication\nMust have: Must be able to work a hybrid schedule; active CPA or currently working towards CPA\n\nPosition Overview:\n• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned tax clients and build strong, long-term relationships.\n• Advise clients on a broad range of tax matters, including planning, research, compliance, and general business activities.\n• Manage federal and state tax compliance engagements and coordinate client needs throughout the engagement process.\n• Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns, providing thoughtful analysis and identifying opportunities for tax planning.\n• Research complex tax issues and communicate recommendations and conclusions clearly to clients and internal team members.\n• Work across multiple engagements while balancing deadlines, priorities, and client expectations.\n• Stay current on changes in tax law, regulations, and industry practices.\n• Help team members understand expectations, develop their technical skills, and identify opportunities for career growth.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\n• 4+ years of relevant tax experience.\n• 1+ years of management, supervisory, or mentoring experience preferred.\n• CPA or EA designation, or actively working toward one.\n• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and general accounting principles.\n• Familiarity with FASB and Internal Revenue Code requirements.\n• Ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear, approachable way.\n• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and tax/accounting software.
