Direct Support Professional – Residential / Day Program Hybrid Position (Full-Time)
RH006Thursday - Saturday, 8a - 8p, Fulltime 30 hoursJoin our team in a unique hybrid role that combines both Residential and Day Program services, allowing you to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in both their home environment and community-based day programming.
In this position, staff will begin their shift within a residential setting, assist individuals with their morning routines and daily living needs, transport and support participants throughout the Day Program from approximately 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM , and then return to the residential home to complete the remainder of the 12-hour shift.
This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, dependable, flexible, and passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of others while working in both residential and community-based settings.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in both residential and day program environments
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, meals, medication administration, and daily living activities
- Support individuals with emotional well-being, communication, social skills, and positive behavioral supports
- Transport and accompany individuals safely between residential homes, community activities, appointments, and Day Program services
- Lead and participate in recreational, vocational, educational, and community-based activities
- Monitor participant well-being and document behavioral, medical, or physical changes while maintaining accurate and confidential records
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in both residential homes and program spaces
- Follow all agency policies, OSHA standards, infection control procedures, and emergency protocols
- Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, families, and healthcare providers to ensure quality care and support
- Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to complete required trainings, including CPR, First Aid, PMT, and DDS Medication Administration Certification
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Ability to assist with lifting, transfers, and active support needs as required
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred but not required
- Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office; Therap experience preferred
