**Position Title: **Journeyman Electrician**Pay Rate: **$47.84/hr.$5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS(See Hiring Manager for Details)Category/Shift:Hourly Full-Time (Day/Night Shifts Available)Physical Location:4060 Fairview Industrial Dr. SESalem, OR 97302Important InformationDay/Night Shift12 hour shiftsWorking conditions - industrial / indoors and outdoorsThe Job You Will Perform:Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.Job ConditionsPhysical hazards such as noise, fumes, and dirt are present due to the equipment and machinery. Safety shoes, hearing protection, Safety Glasses and face shields must be worn to eliminate the risks associated with these hazards. Travel is not required for this position.Handling multiple issues regarding safety and maintenance increases pressure. Work load may be unpredictable and pressure can be substantial during peak times. Critical deadlines require considerable adaptability. Disturbances of work flow and/or irregularities in work schedule are expected and occur on an intermittent basis. Extra hours may be required, sometimes on weekends, weekdays, and holidays.Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential FunctionsAbility to: lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally; crouch or bend at the knees occasionally to increase visibility; climb up to 60 vertical steps occasionally; stoop or bend at the waist occasionally to increase visibility; reach at arm’s length frequently or overhead occasionally; twist and turn at the neck and trunk; walk frequently on uneven ground; handle and grasp tools and parts continually; communicate by speech and hearing continually. Visual acuity needed for close detail work.
